About The Founder
Vanessa blends her background in biological sciences with two decades of experience in the Pilates industry. Her journey began with her own healing after a car accident and unexpected health setbacks, where Pilates proved invaluable in her recovery. This personal transformation ignited her passion for Pilates, leading her to explore the intricate connections between anatomy, body mechanics, and functional movement.
In addition to her traditional schooling, Vanessa has completed over 700 hours of specialized Pilates teacher training, further deepening her exploration of anatomy and movement sciences through ongoing continuing education. She is a graduate of the distinguished Professional Pilates Advanced Teacher Training (PPATT) taught by her mentor, Mrs. Kathryn Ross Nash, a leading teacher in the Pilates lineage and former student of Romana Kryzanowska. Vanessa has also trained with the late Mari Windsor at Windsor Pilates and Cary Reagan and Emilie Miller at Brooke Siler’s former studio Re; Ab Pilates. She continues to evolve her own expertise in the field to support long-term progress for her students.
Her unique blend of knowledge and expertise allows Vanessa to approach each student with a refined, evidence-based perspective. Vanessa is dedicated to helping others optimize their physical health and resilience through carefully crafted, scientifically informed movement practices. Her commitment to excellence and preserving the legacy of Pilates is reflected in her teaching and continued exploration of the method.

What is Pilates?
Joseph Pilates developed his namesake method-originally called Contrology- to condition both body and mind holistically, to encourage maximum efficiency and complete control over one’s movements. Pilates is adaptable to all fitness levels and compliments performance in any sport by building, improving and refining foundational movement patterns. The method strengthens every muscle, promoting balanced development, correcting posture, restoring physical vitality, and invigorating both the mind and spirit.
